Our Story
EVLO was not planned - it was built through persistence, faith, and purpose. What began in Austin, Texas with a local athlete repeatedly asking Coach Jake for training turned into something far greater. After nearly a year away from coaching, Coach Jake finally agreed to a session, only to discover the athlete had falsely claimed a media professional was involved. That misunderstanding led to a pivotal conversation with Zeriah Kincaid, a media professional who had never met the athlete but saw potential in Coach Jake’s work and asked a life-changing question: “Do you have a vision for basketball development in Austin?” That question sparked a partnership with Coach Jake’s longtime friend and former college teammate, Coach Chuck, a highly accomplished professional player who averaged over 20 points and 10 rebounds overseas. What followed were intentional training sessions, a structured environment, and a faith-centered mission that accelerated EVLO’s creation. On September 26, 2025, Coach Chuck relocated from Tennessee to Texas to help build EVLO from the ground up. Today, EVLO is led by Austin’s Big Three - a unified leadership team rooted in elite training, professional playing experience, and intentional media. EVLO has built relationships with The University of Texas, UTSA, and Texas State, hosted NBA Champion Lamar Odom, collaborated with internationally recognized figures like White Iverson and Lavar Johnson, and was featured on KVUE, ABC Local News, and KAZI FM within two months of launch. EVLO stands as Austin’s premier basketball development academy, focused on long-term athlete development, discipline, confidence, and culture - proving that what some call coincidence, EVLO calls God.

Coach Jake is the visionary behind EVLO, responsible for the program's mission, culture, and long-term growth. He leads with discipline and professionalism, ensuring every athlete is developed with purpose both on and off the court.

Coach Chuck oversees all on-court training and daily operations. With a strong focus on structure, development, and accountability, he ensures EVLO runs efficiently while pushing athletes to reach elite performance standards.
